Upside of being laid off.

I returned my work shirts and name tag yesterday.  I thought Angela was going to cry.  I told her I am not upset over being laid off.  She said she is for me.  I also repo-ed the field glasses.  We used them to check plate numbers on cars/trucks before approving gas.  The glasses  belong to my sister.  She said the store could use them as long as I worked there.   I worked at a self-serve gas station convenience store.I told her I no longer worry about getting sick at work; no longer worry about how long it will take to recover from getting the port ( about a week, a nurse told my sister); no longer worry about catching something from customers, either.  Handling money all day is not healthy when on chemo.  You should see some of the places people pull money from!!Another good thing about being laid off is I can  start up with that water therapy again.  I have a collection of those tall PomWonderful glasses.  One of them filled with warm filtered water 3 times should be enough.  I did that today.  Then one waits 45 minutes or more to have breakfast.  Then nothing else for 2 hours.  I do feel somewhat better than on my 'normal' days.  I was doing it during recovery from the last cancer surgery.  It was taking away my night time snack attacks.  But when I went back to work, I quit the water thing.  No time if I started at 9 AM.Nice start to the day here.  Red and purple sunrise.  Saw a rabbit, a Chickadee, two gray squirrels, a red squirrel, a hawk, and the usual Sparrows Starlings and Pigeons.
