upset vent

I went to the Air and Space museum afterwards. I love visiting there and seeing the Enterprise on display and wandering around looking at new exhibits. When I got home I had to go to the eye glass place, my eyeglass stem broke last night. I've had my glasses for 2 years. I went to an eye doctor a couple of months ago. he said my vision hadn't changed much, but he did give me a prescription in case I decided to get new glasses. I decided not to bother. But I had to go get new glasses. I wanted to try to get the same frames I had. My friend/housemate drove me there. I hate to say it but she is a lousy driver. Nervous and gets easily flustered and very little patience. We hadn't even left the townhouse community when she got impatient with a mini-van that was waiting for us to pass, and she says "Alright I'm going already." I told her there wasn't a problem. the people in the mini-van weren't causing any problems at all. We got to the place okay, but on the way out of the parking lot I thought for SURE we were going to have an accident. She didn't pay a attention to a car turning onto the street from another street that we were going onto from the parking lot. I told her to watch it, and she stopped just in time to let the car go by. She screamed out "I HATE THIS!" yeah well I'm not liking the way she drives. The worst driving incident was when we went into DC to see the Lincoln Cottage, on the way back there was a detour blocking the street we were going down, so I said let's just go around it by going down another street. Things went okay until I told her to make a left and she didn't go down the street I told her to. She ended up going over a concrete divider. Again I thought we were going to get into a accident. I think the Lord and angels were watching out for us.
I used to drive, couldn't afford to have a car and when I moved I made a stupid mistake and didn't change to a license I got an ID instead. The ID is expiring the end of Oct. I would like to try to get my license back. I need to take a test and do a road test.
The only other way to get around is the bus, but I take my chances when I drive with my friends.

Hi Linda, big caring hugs. i'm so sorry you had a rough day, and that your glasses broke, and that you had a rough drive there, with your housemate. i understand, how it's very upsetting, and can affect our nerves, when someone doesn't drive well. i'm so glad, and thankful you all were safe, and made it back home, and that you got your new glasses. You deserve a much peaceful, relaxing day and weekend. i am happy you got a chance to visit the botanical garden :) it sounds very nice :)

i have heard of that flower on the news, i know it's an infamous flower. i hope you have a good friday, and a nice weekend upcoming :) big solar eclipse day on monday :) if you get some solar eclipse glasses, i hope you enjoy an amazing view of the eclipse :)
