Upset over work
As some of you know I work at Home Depot and absolutely HATE the job. The management stinks, and that is putting it mildly. They don't know how to treat the workers well and so many are leaving. Today I was instructed by one of the assistant managers to take care of an aisle, well I was the only worker in the dept at that time and the customers kept asking me questions. So I didn't get to work on the aisle. Then, later, my supervisor comes in, I told him the assistant manager told me to work a certain aisle, he said that it didn't look like it really needed much work and told me to straighten out the pruning tools in another aisle. The assistant manager comes along and says "didn't I tell you to work on the other aisle" and told him the supervisor told me to do this and that it needed some straightening out. Then he calls my supervisor to ask him about it and my supervisor lies and tells him I never said exactly who told me to work on the other aisle. And the asst. manager calls me a liar And I told him I wasn't lying. WOW talk about being thrown under the bus.
I am going to look for a new job, before the summer is done I want to be done, with HD! They have no clue how to treat us workers.

Sorry that you had such a rough day, Management can really make a job difficult when they don’t communicate with one another. Hopefully you’ll be able to find another job before summer’s over.

Hi Linda, big caring and comforting friendship hugs. i'm so sorry you had a rough day at work, and that both your assistance manager, and supervisor, put you in a very uncomfortable spot at work, and weren't fair to you. i worry about you and your co-workers, and this awful system they seem to have there, where workers are being told 2 different things, it's very uncomfortable that they are putting you all in this position. it's very unfair, and should be reported. You have our full support, i know you've been through a lot at HD, and deserve much better, and a new job that's much more comfortable for you. I am sorry you had to go through that. If the supervisor asks you to do something else, have him contact the assistant manager first before proceeding to the next task. That way you are not in trouble. The supervisor had to save himself from getting into trouble.

That sounds very rough with what u went through. It sounds like u handled the situation the best u could & that was very good & something to be proud of. I too hope u will be able to find another job. I'm thinking of u & wishing u well. Hugs
