update on wife
Wife has been in the hospital since friday night and they still don't know what's wrong with her. She had a UTI which has cleared up completely so she is not passing blood anymore but she cannot keep food down still and she has almost no energy.
I realize she has done alot of stuff but she is still my wife and I care about her. I brought her some flowers yesterday to try to cheer her up. She was very depressed. She was also upset that her BF didn't bring her any flowers.
So I was there yesterday visiting, and her sister and her sister's daughter were there also and had brought her things. Not sure it had much affect but she was extremely sick and had almost no energy. She could barely get up to go to the bathroom and she is still getting iv antibiotics.
Maybe this is a wake up call for her as she mentioned getting rid of her bf when she got home but I don't see that happening. She is too emotionally week to say anything to him plus she tends to tell people what they want to hear.
They are still waiting for a few more tests to come back. Namely, the ones for hepititus. God, I hope and pray she doesn't have that!
Thumb still hurts like the dickens. I get the stitches out on tuesday. But lately, the pain is more of a burning sensation instead of a throbbing pain. I think that means it is healing but not sure. I will be very glad when it heals and I can use it again. I never thought I would miss a thumb as much as I miss this one! Just can't grasp things!
But I am thankful. Thankful for still having the thumb and thankful for friends who give me a reason to get out of bed every day!
God Bless!

\"As ye sow, so shall ye also reap.\" Maybe \"wifey\" needs a wake up call. God is trying to get her attention, eh? I hope it\'s not hepatitis....she could have got it from the BF, you know, so be careful. Thumb will heal and you will play the guitar beautifully. :o) No more accidents! Today I was walking toward church wearing flip flop shoes and fell flat on my face because of the stupid shoes, but remarkably not one scratch anywhere, a reminder that I seem to be \"accident prone\" lately: a form of benign self harm and not good. You too. Watch what you\'re doing.

bob I also hope it is not hepatitis because that is very contagious.....she could have gotten hep c from bf but that is not nearly as bad as hep A....but I am not sure hep c would come out with sudden sickness as my friends who had it were unaware they had it for long time...but perhaps she is so sick that she decides that bf is a sac of shi* and decides to stay with you which I think you would like to have as a result...I know when my wife left I wanted her back but now am glad she is gone...
as for thumb pain....stick with this that it will heal....pain may seem to take forever to go away especially since there will be more surgeries in future to try repairs....more pain to come....but it will heal....I sure could have done without the pic of that thumb though....uggh...I know you wanted us to see but WHY? No I know...I can handle it...just don\'t like to think of that happening to anyone... :(
Sending prayers for your wife and that she does not have a serious condition and a speedy recovery. Also continue with prayers for the thumb to be as good as new! HUGS!
Bob - very nice of you to try to cheer up your wife. You\'re a great guy Bob - she was lucky to have you.
Good to hear the thumb is getting a little better too. Be patient with it. It may not be the same but it is still there. Eventually I think you\'ll get used to your \'new\' thumb and after a while I\'d imagine you will pay it little notice.
Keep taking care of yourself, healing, and try to stay positive. You\'ve got a lot of great qualities, and you\'ll eventually get through all of this. Cheers
