update on thyroid

Well I feel better now that I have seen the doctor.  He drew some blood to check my thyroid and I am going for an ultrasound on Monday to check and see if the nodule on my thyroid is purely a cyst (only have fluid in it) .  If it is just a cyst than there is nothing to worry about.  If there are any "hard" spots in the nodule it may be cancerous.  He said a lot of the nodules  would turn into cancer (precancerous)  but havent yet.  Since it is caught before it turns into cancer it isnt as big of a deal they just remove it.  It also could be a sac that is producing more of the thyroid hormone.  It could be various things. Whatever it is we have caught it really early so I am okay!  will know more next week.
