Update on how I am doing
Hello DS Family, I noticed that it has been about two months since I last wrote in my journal; so I decided I would stop by and talk about what I have up to lately.
Lately I have been so busy helping my mom clean house and taking clothes and items that we no longer need to charity. Last night me and her were at the Emergency room most of the night because my mom threw her back out when she tried to lift a coffee table. We decided that the next time we needed a piece of furniture; we are going to ask my dad to move it for us.
I have also been doing a lot of thinking and soul searching lately. I just don't know what to do with my life anymore. I mean I just don't know what God wants me to do. I mean I don't believe that we are all just on this Earth existing. There has to be something that God has in mind for me to serve him. I mean does he want me to work with children or the elderly? I just wish I knew.

Don\'t give up faith. When it is time all will be revealed to you. Life is full of test\'s that lead to the big one. Just continue on passing the test\'s till the big one comes. You will know it and your full purpose then. God be with you in your journey.

I think what ever we do we just need to remember to love, confide in pray to our Lord. Treat others well help those who are in need. We could meet someone in need of a drink or bus fare on the way to a factory job or even on our way to the corner store. Its what we do for others and God where ever we may be. Not so much where we work. This is just my opinion.
When I still lived in Phila, PA I worked as a volunteer for one year, helping the blind. They say volunteer work is very good for people. It\'s fine that your mind is leaning toward helping the elderly or children. Some hospitals need \"baby cuddlers\". What a great job!
Sometimes \"just existing\" is doing something. We don\'t always get to see what God wants of us, or how God weaves our lives out. I know that since sobriety, I\'ve seen quite a few things that were once \"just existing\" as something else now- as an alignment before the very beginning of something beautiful and challenging. Keep your head up.
PS. I hope your mother\'s back is feeling a little better now.
Do what you love best, be it the elderly or children. I think the elderly field is most in need of help as the population is ageing. Good luck in whatever field you choose.
