Update on healing from accident, and post doctors for my wrist
It has been two full days now since I was released from the hospital after the car accident. I am healing, but still very sore. As time passes, details about the crash itself and the aftermath while waiting for the police and at the hospital are becoming more clear. I also have a permanent image of the guys face who hit us ingrained in my mind. I do not know if this is a good thing or not, I mean I am now able to pick him out of a group, but I do not know if I truly want to remember what he looks like. What makes it worse is that yesterday I found out that the guy was in the emergency room next to Joey's, which was right across the hall from me. He was admitted to alcohol poisoning I think. Which proves that he was extremely intoxicated when he slammed into us. That night, the guy was put into handcuffs, once he finally broke down and admitted that he was the driver of the car (he originally denied it, until he saw me and Joey laying on the ground, he broke down crying saying that he did not mean to hurt us, and was sorry [no amount of sorry will make up for what he did]), and was taken away by the cops. He should be back in jail by now, but I have a feeling me and Joey will be called in to testify against him once his trial comes up. As for Joey he is healing a lot better than I am, he only has some pain left in his neck and a headache. Me on the other hand have a bump on my head (which is getting smaller by the day), a constant headache due to it, a huge bruise on my lower left back/hip area which is extremely sore to the touch, the skin in the area has no feeling to it at all, I have a contusion (bruise) on my right lounge, my right ankle is very sore, and my right wrist hurts more than ever now.
Speaking of my right wrist, Friday morning I went to see an orthopedic for my wrist (which I hurt at work) and found out I did indeed mess up one of my tendons, lucky for me it is one that is more of a place holder and serves no real purpose. The doctor gave me a prescription for pain medication for it, but they do not help much. I have to go back and see him in two weeks.
I think that is all of the updating that I have for the moment, if I think of more I will add it.
