Update on ER

The good news is the ovidrel shot worked, the bad news is I have to wait another day for ER (now scheduled for bright and early Sunday morning). I'm trying to look at the possible bright side here, and something LaurieNYC said (thanks, Laurie!) on my previous journal about possibly getting another follie by waiting made me think it might not be such a bad thing to have ER tomorrow. At this point, my 8 follies are probably more like 5 since 3 of them are still too small. But, we'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm trying to remain hopeful and encouraged that I've managed to get a lot of follies for doing a mini cycle and get this far, and remember that it only takes one embie! This process is just so challenging in so many ways, and it reminds me how strong us women really are and how much we can endure. I'm constantly amazed at the dedication and perserverance we show (especially my DS sisters here who have done multiple rounds of IVF). Its so true that we never know what we can accomplish until we are faced with a challenge. I know I am a strong, but in part, because of my liver tumor/medical history with hormones, I was beyond terrified to do IVF and had a ridiculously hard time accepting it was really our only option. I am 99% sure I couldn't have gotten through it without all of you - the appreciation I feel for all for all the encouragement and support you've provided me - I am beyond grateful for finding you all and for walking this journey with you. We all deserve to be Mothers, one way or another, and I hope and pray it happens for all of us, and soon!
xoxo

Yay you get your retrival tomorrow. I agree with Laurie, one extra day might mean one extra embrie. Your results for a mini cycle are so great. I can already see you getting your BFP in two weeks.
I love that you see how strong you are. You have been through so much with your cancer. I really hope this is your time to shine.
I\'ll be thinking of you tomorrow.

You are doing great and so well with everything. Sunday is a perfect day to have your ER since it is a \'day of rest\' and will then be for you and those ovaries who are working so hard:-) Hoping for a great day and update tomorrow!!

Thanks, Roxy! Just to clarify, though, I never had cancer (thank God!) it was a benign tumor, but had it not been removed probably eventually would have turned malignant.

Come on, eggies! What better time to get eggs than first thing in the morning, and on Easter week, too! Perfect! I think that\'s a great sign! ;)
