update - coming off
I had my visit to the hospital today for the results of my follow up ct scan - good news - there were 2 x 3mm nodules that showed up on my initial CT scan - today it was confirmed that when they were scanned 3 months later they had not grown or changed in any way - the professor says that in his opinion they do not look pre cancerous and he is confident they will not change however since my dad died of a malignancy age 43 he has agreed to another CT scan in 10 months time - he is expecting the results to be exactly the same and he will not be recommending any follow up after this. As far as the clotting - he thinks that for me - being pre menopausal and having been fit and healthy until now that this has just been a lightening strike for me and that he doesnt think lightening will strike twice - he is not arranging any tests for clotting defiiciencies, or any more scans etc, I have to stop taking the warfarin at 6 months - thats 4 weeks from today. We discussed again the signs of a PE so that if it happens again (lightening strikes twice) then i am aware - i confirmed that i had no signs of leg pains etc and he says that in most cases that is normal. Pleuritic pain and shallow breathing, SOB and a very fast heart rate were my symptoms. Hope i never have to experience them again. Will keep you all informed as to how it goes, my biggest issue will be coping with the anxiety over the next wee while but I am going to face this head on with an open mind and be as positive as i possibly can (well i can try).

Feeling kak, think I\'m getting a cold, on the upside, I\'m not on warfarin so can take flu plus capsules to shake it off. It\'s still one thing after another though.
