update

yesterday morning my mom got a call for my aunt to come to the hospital of which my mom called me. his kidneys failed, his liver is shot, and he's septic. his cancer, which we knew spread to his lymph nodes and his spine. we found out yesterday, it spread to his lungs. they had him sedated and on pain meds amongst others. his wife and her family was there, my parents, and my aunt and uncle. it was very emotional. a dnr is in place and of last night, they took him off the vent and they are stopping all meds except for sedation and pain. so honestly it is just a matter of time. i got home last evening and i was just drained. im sure sometime today i will get the call. its really scary because he is only 37...but at least when it comes, he wont be in pain anymore.
