Up Till Now

I'm making slow cooker chili.  A simple task, but one not quite thought out.  I almost bought two pounds of beef and there's only me.  I had to adjust the recipie.  Now, my problem is that there's no one to turn the chili off.  I have a choice: eat the minute I come in from work, or wait two hours later.  I'll definetly need a slow cooker with a timer on it.
All the things to consider when cooking for one.  It's hard to get used to.
I'm picturing myself cooking for one the rest of my life.  I can't picture myself finding someone as great as DH, so I realize I've got to get used to it.
Today, I was thinking about DH and what he would have wanted for his daughter.  I want to make sure he would be pleased about some things he was concerned about.  Life is indeed strange.  DH doesn't really care now.  And that's a strange thought.
I know some people believe their loved ones are looking down on them, but I've never been one to believe that.  No, I believe that once you're gone, you're way too busy being with God and talking to old relatives and friends for that.  I think their's something in the bible about that too, but I'm not sure.
Anyhow, today, I'm not feeling good or bad.  Do they have one of those faces for numb?
