Up & Down I Think

Well, we're on the final steps of getting dad's appt cleaned out.  There was alot of misc this & that stuff that we just had to discard.  It was the type of stuff that there really wasn't anywhere logically for it to go.  It felt a bit awkward at times but I stood firm in being logical abt the whole picture.  It's really brought home how vitally important it is not to just collect "stuff" for the sake of having it or collecting it.  Hubby & I are not bad abt that most of the time but it's reinforced where we need to stop & downsize so this is out mission starting in September.
I had my reg checkup with my Diabetes dr.  My blood sugars are sort of stable, as far as it seems to be for me.  I fluctuate so fast & easily sometimes my poor dr at times doesn't know what to think but we're working on analyzing triggers and/or food problems.  A work in progress to almost perfection I hope.
Don't tell my rheumy but I wanted to do a few wks experiment re the lupus side of things.  I'm putting taking my methotrexate injection on hold & the 1st wk went better then I could have hoped.  This is the start of the 2nd wk & some vasculitis seems to be flaring, small amt though & I do feel in my heart that it's just an emotional reaction to the final steps with dad.  You know how a person knows themselves on diff levels better then a dr ever will & thats what this is.  I'm going to be able to get rid of that drug & thats a focus for me right now.  Now to convince my rheumy come Sept.  I know that my wkly yoga is such a major bonus for my wellbeing.  It ends with a brief meditative chanting so between this & my reflexology sessions, they are so important to my wellbeing.
On a diff note, I had convinced hubby back in spring to keep feeding the birds so we have been.  It's been so good for us.  We can watch them thru a couple windows & sometimes they are so hilarious.  They do this high speed flight practice thing fr one area to another & you'd swear they were on drugs or something.  It was very sweet throughout the summer watching how the little ones would ask mom for food & even though they were big enough, flying & could do for themselves, mom at times would be very dedicated & feed them anyway.  Somehow we ended up with 4 big gray squirrels.  We put peanuts out on the picnic table right outside the sunroom doors & it's so wild watching how they don't like to share with each other & will chase each other like wild guys.  One, who I've posted a pic on DS of, Hudson, he for some reason is almost the tamest of them & will come up to my hand for his peanuts.  One side of the sunroom doors is covered with a reflective shade so we can easily sit & watch their antics & they can't really see us.  They are so wild & crazy sometimes but you know they & the birds give us many happy moments.  I do hope our Lord is happy I'm helping to look after his critters.
Well I think thats abt it for now.  Life is moving onward & I go forth as strongly as I can.

I think we all accumulate stuff through our lives, things for memories, family heirlooms, hobbies and such. Also, we don\'t have kids so I think we have more stuff. The purging is cleansing and therapeutic.... gives you a look into someone\'s life, when you have to go through it though, happy you\'re almost finished.

Love your bird-watching hobby, passion. Going to take a look now. God\'s little creatures are amazing.

You move forward, girl, GO! xo

I\'m glad you are finding some calm & balancing things to enjoy to level out the stress of cleaning out your dad\'s place. What a smart cookie you are! ;D
I hope the lack of mtx goes very well for you. Just let your rheumy in on it soon, as you said, so you two can discuss it. Keep up the good work with the yoga and reflexology. I\'m a little jealous of that, but hopefully soon I can get on board. Hope you can rest up after his place is cleaned out and recharge your batteries. That\'s my #1 job right now too. Sending you lots of love and asking God to richly bless you my friend. xoxoxo
