up and down weather.... reflects how things are

Boy, it's been a roller coaster this week - kinda like the weather.  Somedays sunnier than others for me and for the weather outside.
Started out with T trying to figure out how to register for his classes since the ones he chose weren't available to him. He was supposed to start classes on Monday but didn't have it settled until Friday.  Monday he was only signed up for one class.  I told him that that wasn't going to fly and he said he knew that.  At first I stayed out of it but I let my husband pulled me in to his issues.  My husband "the rescuer".  Somehow I allowed myself to get sucked into it (maybe because the school is expensive and he didn't seem to be making a progress?) and that wasn't a good thing.  I kept calling and texting T to find out the latest and he never answered me.  So Friday he calls - had it figured out and then in the next breath - he is asking for money so that he could go camping over the weekend. Now he calls. It's the only time he does.  So, whether it was the right thing to do or not, I didn't return his calls.  Not sure if he ended up going or not.  Not my problem. If he can't have the decency to answer my calls - just to communicate with me - then he needs to know that I'm not just one he calls when he wants something.  So for this situation it "rained" a lot - but then the sun came out that he has his classes.
J didn't come home again last night.  A reminder that he's drinking a lot - it rained.  So I pray.
Pouring for my mother-in-law who fell and ended up in the hospital with a broken neck. By the end of the week - the doctors now think that these breaks are old ones - so now her neck is in a brace and she will be going for physical therapy.  Better than we thought - so I would say the sun peaked out.
Went clothes shopping to buy some clothes for my presentation and I can't believe it!  I am down two pants sizes!  I wasn't even trying to lose weight - just eating better and walking more to be healthier.  An added bonus!  Now the trick is to maintain that.  I cheated the other day and had some fries.  Once in awhile I guess it can't hurt.
And then yesterday my friend called upset.  She invited the "golf widows" over her house for a gathering.  She sent out an email. Then a newer "widow" in the group sent one out too and invited a lot more ladies whose husbands weren't golfing.  It was awkward because my friend's email was ignored. The woman who did it claimed that her email was messed up and never received it. My friend doesn't believe her because there were plenty of other people who were invited to both and she had to have known before my friend sent her an email. As friend predicted - she put an act.  I do not like the woman who pulled this stunt.  I have a "history" of negative feelings toward her even though she doesn't know it.  I've always put on a smile but I can see right through her that she isn't as genuine as she tries to appear. That said - I eventually let it go.  No more bad feelings.  I take her for what she is... and have accepted her.  Yesterday was a struggle for me because of what she did to my dear, sweet friend. I chimed in a bit - adding my 2 cents as to why I didn't like her but then stopped myself. I tried to help my friend see that this anger and disappointment is eating her up and that she needs to pray for this person.  I think I might have helped in some way because it stopped her from sending a not so nice email to her.  I know this sounds very petty (and it is) but this is just the straw that broke the camel's back.  Long story for both of us.  Now I'm not sure what to do. I really don't want to go to this party but I don't want to not show up because I seemed to always be turning these invites down. I run out of reasons and it just "looks bad".
So I will pray about it.
