Until We Meet Again
I miss you in the morning,
I miss you in the night.
I miss you when the skies are dark
I miss you when they’re bright.
I see you in your children’s eyes
And in their actions, too.
I feel you in the evening warmth
And in the morning dew.
My life right now is lonely
I never thought it would be.
I always believed that you would
Be standing right here next to me.
Until the day we walk again
Hand in hand, side by side
I’ll walk this earthly journey
Alone, but with you always in my mind.
And when my time on earth
Like all, must come to an end
I know the first one I will see
Will be my lover, my spouse, my friend.
My hope is for your happiness,
Your peace, joy, and unconditional love.
And that you will be waiting with a smile,
When I join you in heaven above.
