Unscheduled Vacation

Ok so I went to work on Saturday and after about an hour I had cause to bend over for some reason or other. I immeadiatly felt my nose run (no Biggie) until I stood up and realized my nose was bleeding. Great just what I needed. My charge nurse told me I needed to go to Minor care and see what was going on especially since my nose wouldn't quit bleeding. Oh goody, I went downstairs and immeadiatly they checked my INR which was a nice high number of 5.2 and the PA on staff told me, geeze with an INR that high it wouldn't be a good idea to cauterize your nose, but then she turned around and did it anyway. She then packed my poor nose with some sort of weird packing which I will forever refer to as a nose tampon ( sorry if that embarrasses you Guys, but that's exactly what it looked like.) Anyway then the Doctor instructed me to go home for 2 days and make sure I didn't bend over, (which of course that was the day I decided to become the clumsiest person on the planet and drop everything. I was also told to sleep upright and not lie down at all, sneeze with my mouth open,(which if you have ever had anything in your nose you know it makes you sneeze like crazy, and by all means I couldnt blow my nose which of course is running like a faucet now especially after all the stoopid sneezing.  After I left minor care I drug my poor nose home and tried to follow the PA's directions. Two days later I went back to minor care and they unpacked my poor now swollen nose and guess what? The bleeding hadn't stopped so they recauterized my already sore and swollen nose again (at least this time they didn't insert the nose tampon) and sent me home again with the same instructions. I once again called in sick and now everyone is thinking I was just taking time off work to go play on our new jet boat. (Oh yea I forgot to mention Hubby and I bought a new Jet boat) However No I was home with my poor miserable nose. Finally today the bleeding did stop and I got to come back to work. Sheesh all because of a silly bloody nose. by the way my INR is back down to a low 2.2 and that was without me even stopping my coumadin when it was the whopping 5.2.
