Unrealistic Expectations
Couldn't decide between sad or painful for this status update...
I don't know why I get my hopes up, or why I even have expectations. I'm disappointed every time.
My son is only 1 quarter away from graduating. All he has to do is pass English (which it looks like he will), Sociology & Health 2 (which he failed 2nd quarter because he WOULD NOT make up the work). That's ALL he has to do. And it's like he's giving up. He says he doesn't care (and at the same time says he cares).
It's like a person running a race, stopping short of the finish line & just turning away from it. He seems to think there is some thing else I can do. No, I've done everything I can. It's his turn. He doesn't think he can get out of his own way. What???
I'm mad & sad & disappointed in him & myself all at the same time.
