Hi Journal,
I've come to talk with you again.
One one week to go when I will indeed be,
"talking the talk and walking the walk".
September 8, Unity Walk for Parkinson's.
Perth, Western Australia.
I love this very special day, it's a day when I can
catch up with friends and acquaintances and,
make new ones, creating fresh bonds aplenty.
I'll enjoy the feeling, taking in, all there is to
offer in the carnival like atmosphere, savouring
the occasion, as my peers, bright shining super
stars that they are, take it right up to
Parkinson's Condition and smash it.
It's a day when we take on this impostor and win,
and win we will, you bet we will.
It's a win, win, win situation.
There will be no losers, we'll all be winners.
Likening Parkinson's to be a tiny fly, with our
totally positive attitude and self belief, we will
overwhelm this impostor,
"we're in command you tiny fly,
we'll crush you till you're dead".
The gods, as in the past, will be with us too,
providing us with a beautiful sunny day.
As all the costs for staging this event have
been met by the sponsors, all the money
raised will be welcomed as we strive to
meet the costs of hiring another much
needed Parkinson's Nurse Specialist.
