That’s a healthy one. The ones here go right through the deer fence in the garden and don’t eat anything except a few bean plant tops. I don’t understand how they can pass by the lettuce patch without a nibble.

He was pretty hungry. Didn't seem to be bothered by me being there. I went in the house, grabbed my camera but the batteries were dead, so I went back in the house, put fresh batteries in the camera and went back outside

A couple of times he stood up on his hind legs and watched me for a bit. Probably wondering if I was a friend or foe. I guess he got his answer because he went right back to eating like a pig.

How cute. The rabbits in our yard are really enjoying the clover as well. I had five in the yard the night before last. We love watching them eat an play.

I went out to my shop early this morning and I wasn't looking where I was going and I nearly tripped over that rabbit who was on the back lawn eating clover. I immediately backed off because I didn't want to disturb his breakfast so I retreated to the house. He continued to eat for about another 10 minutes before going into the woods.
maybe I won't have to mow my lawn this week. He's doing a pretty good job of it based on his voracious appetite.

About an hour later, I saw a red Tannahill bird in a tree behind my house. That was a first for me because I can't remember ever seeing one of those.

Lots of wildlife this summer :)

Reminds me of Hazel-Rah, the protagonist of the rabbit epic Watership Down!
