Under The Weather

I have been dragging. For the past week, more days than not, I am exhausted and achy. I do dinner and collapse in the chair and sleep on and off all night. I have noticed that I do hear myself wheezing at times and was warned to watch for an upper respiratory infection. I am to take my next dose of a new med (Humira) on Sat, but will be unable to if I am sick as it will make things far worse (breaks down my immunity even more)

I was invited to my nephew's on Sat afternoon for Jaxon's 3rd birthday party, but have decided to stay put. I will be working early on Sat then a long haul to their place and back ... plus will lose an hour's sleep for DS then up early to work on Sunday. Given how run down I have been, it will be too much. Plus the fact that even if I have to postpone the med, I will still probably pick up something from the kids. Better safe than sorry right now.

Stbx has an open wound on his foot againso the visiting nurse is back. I am glad for that, but now I have been reminded by him and his sister (and the nurse did not disagree) how now he is to be off the foot as much as possible. I have commented when she was here how it is funny to me--- they always ask his pain level. (which is usually 0 anymore) I responded how mine for several days when I dragged myself home was at an 8, and I am still expected to drop everything at his beckon call.  As a result, I have left things go.  Dishes to do---done very little and the house is a mess, but right now, it does not matter to me. It will obviously wait for me.  Lord knows he will not dare be up and around to do anything.  (Incidently, I do understand this. My gripe is that if he is able to be back and forth and  standing in the bathroom forever smoking the damn cigarettes, then if he is hungry between meals or at odd times, he is capable to journey to the kitchen to grab something.)

Just tired and achy and needed somewhere to vent.

When the road gets most difficult, we occasionally take the fork that would be too scary to take at other times.

hugs my friend. Look after yourself. Sleep whenever you feel the need to. You are right, if he can go the the bathroom to smoke, he can go the the kitchen to fix himself something to eat. Do not let him guilt trip you. This is what we are here for, helping one another. Vent away.

Take good care of yourself. You do not have to jump every time he feels needs something.

Feel better.

Yes, take better care of yourself. Running yourself down emotionally can affect your immune system too as it is all tied together. Visualize being healthier and happier. The thoughts we create are powerful and can lift us up or bring us down. As his health is so bad what the hell is he doing smoking? Convincing himself that you will always be around so he doesn’t have to make any effort to help himself? Giving up is the easy way out of facing life. But it’s an empty existence. I hope you can find ways to increase the distance so that life choice doesn’t rub off on you as much. More water and greens. Heal

Thank you everybody. After work (and grabbing a few groceries) I did very little but catch up on rest and sleep. I am feeling alot better. I am off today and will try to play catch up I am not knocking myself out ... will just do what I can as I go.

Thanks again for all the well wishes and support ( and hugs) It is far more than I do get currently here. (Yes, sarcastic grumble)
