Ultrasound concerning menstration

starting in Oct 2015 my period started to be irregular. I went to the OBGYN and while there she had an ultrasound done on my female parts. Once I left the office I felt a sense of relief because I'm 30 and never had an ultrasound until then. I've also tried to concieve with no luck. I felt like maybe I would get some answers from this.
Maybe a week after my ultrasound I got a call saying that I had cysts on both ovaries and that I needed to continue taking the progesterone that I had been put on to help with my periods. I was given a date to come back for another ultrasound. It's in March so we'll see if it has helped or not
