U.S.A. tax dollars PAY to have animals sadistically abused in laboratories & college basement labs!!
" ... in the summer of 1995, I started working in a taxpayer-funded animal experimentation laboratory. It was a horrifying experience, but it was also the best thing that ever happened to me because it changed me so profoundly.
Between my junior and senior years of high school, I worked as a summer intern inside a New York City animal experimentation laboratory. I witnessed atrocities on animals that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. To prepare for daily animal experimentation, we hoisted small female pigs, upside down, by their hind legs. When the professors instructed us to "restrain the specimen," we forcibly strapped these animals to the table and surgically implanted electrodes into their skulls. On more than one occasion, these pigs urinated all over the operating table in terror, unaware they were facing the final moments of their lives.
I was only 17 years old. I wasn't a vegetarian. I wasn't an animal activist either. But 20 years ago this month I asked myself: "If this "nyc lab" is one of the 'good' labs, what the heck are they doing in the bad ones?"
"There comes a time in life when something happens and your life forever changes... one day it happens and the wildfire in your belly grows, combusts, and sets the world ablaze."
20 years ago this summer, I dedicated my life to ending the existence of laboratories that experiment on animals. Especially ending the existance of taxpayer-funded animal experimentation. It is my life's work. It's my calling. It's what gets me out of bed in the morning, it's the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing I think about when I go to sleep.
20 years ago, I didn't know that the government was forcing taxpayers to pay over $12 billion annually for worthless experiments on animals.
Like most people, I assumed this was a problem that exists because of large cosmetic companies and pharmaceutical companies.
I had no idea this was about government, and that OUR TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR THESE LABORATORIES!!! That taxpayers are animal laboratories biggest "investor."
Every time politicians and bureaucrats tax you $1 for the National Institutes of Health budget, 47 cents is wasted on taxpayer-funded animal experimentation — that 47 cents should be going for ordinary medical CARE NOT experimentation on animals being incarcerated in cages inside laboratories. As taxpayers we are providing these laboratories a $12 billion+ blank check for SADISTIC ABUSE OF ANIMALS. Animal-abusing profiteers and government grant miners in college basements who force monkeys to smoke crack and force beagles to run on treadmills until they have heart attacks.
Taxpayer-funded animal abusers think our money is another big government entitlement program!
Over the last 20 years, since I first worked in animal experimentation, politicians in both parties have tripled the budget for taxpayer-funded animal experimentation, which said politician will then get a kick-back on.
There is very serious talk inside Washington about doubling that money again since its an election year and they want to pocket more of it it.
"White Coat Waste Movement" opened 24 months ago to have all taxpayer funded animal laboratories CLOSED DOWN. Our innovative campaign strategy is unprecedented: to drain the swamp - the government/the taxpayers is now the major force abusing animals. We are attacking the root of the problem: wasteful spending - no more tax dollars will be given out for animal laboratories AT ALL.
If you agree with our strategy and want to join the fight, please follow this link to sign our urgent petition and make your voice heard. Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay $12 billion for worthless government animal experiments!
As I just told Glenn Beck's team during our first national TV exposé: "When the tax dollars are gone, the animal abusers are gone."
And as you can see here, we are the only bi-partisan campaign uniting conservatives and liberals, Republican and Democrats in Washington against the common enemy: worthless government animal laboratories and experiments.
Here's How We Do It: Find the Waste: we compile opposition research and cutting-edge investigations to rally politicians and bureaucrats against taxpayer-funded animal experimentation.
Expose the Waste: we've initiated an all-out media blitz to show taxpayers how their money is being wasted with aggressive campaign-style advertisements that hold the animal abusers accountable. Eliminate the senseless waste of $12 BILLION and abuse of innocent animals.
The White Coat Waste Movement. Join the fight with us, please follow this link to sign our urgent petition and make your voice heard.
Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay $12 billion+ for worthless government animal experiments! We're gaining momentum, but we need you in the fight!

God, this was hard to read. I have had my face slapped in the past over things our government and other capitalists around the world do to us and our earth. Idiots!!! We are doomed if we are going to continue to be unaware of our literal connection to everything on EARTH!!! The breathtaking level of consumption is insulting to me.
I don\'t see how old you are, but as for me, I\'m 64 now and too old and too tired to do much BUT to sign peoples\' petitions. I don\'t have money and no energy to do much of anything. As I\'ve said many time here on DS, by the time we are old enough to see the truth, we\'re too shot to do anything about it.
Yes, yes. I will sign your petition. I have no petition, but for me, the same thing goes for spending the $trillions on making war at every corner of the earth. The problem is, our country\'s economy is driven and supported by the military/industrial complex. Oh yeah, you can toss in the pharmaceuticals too.
I think that many people are still unaware that we lean on war-making the way we do. Some bunch of a$$holes, people with lots of power, believe that they are entitled to make money on the backs of so-called \'weaker\' people.
I\'m one of those people who have to stop watching TV quickly if one of the rescue ads comes on. That one with Sheryl Crow singing made me cry every thing I heard the music.
The timing of your post here is perfect. The story going round the internet about that dentist who shot the protected lion? OMG!!~ don\'t get me started.
Anyway, I think your mission is a great reason for living. Thanks for explaining this horrible story here. I could see you posting this on the discussion page, too.

they need to make it ILLEGAL to kill or ingest ANY animal - not just human-animals. humans are disgusting creatures that are totally full of themselves, who think they are superior or all other living things. the truth is humans are spiritually inferior to every animal out there and spiritually at the bottom of the totem pole. it is UNBELIEVABLE how sadistic the creature called human is. too bad humans aren\'t extinct - they should be.
This was very hard to read, 38! But I\'m glad you posted it! People need to know about these things. I don\'t think that most people realize that it\'s our money that contributes to this unbelievable behavior. It just makes me sick.
I\'ll sign any petition that will put an end to causing suffering to God\'s creatures. Humans are all idiots. Look at the mess we\'ve made of the world!
And yes, that HORRIBLE dentist from Minnesota that shot Cecil, the Lion. He\'s in hiding! He should be! Somebody\'s gonna shoot his head off and put in on their wall. I\'m not kiddin! xo
yeah, it\'s terrible stuff. And I still have the image in my brain from weeks ago, of two dogs hugging one another when they were ready to be gassed at a shelter; thankfully, the photo helped them get adopted.
Too many tabloid articles, with photos, of live sheep being thrown to lions and tigers in Chinese zoos, for the enjoyment of zoo customers.
humans are disgusting. if humans would become extinct the whole planet would straighten out and heal itself. humans ARE the problem.
