U/S #2
After the horrible day on Friday, today is definitely better. I can actually talk and think about my cat without crying. I spent the weekend at our cabin with my parents and DH, cleaning, raking leaves, and opening it up for the season and that really helped my mental state, as did two hours in the sun at the beach.
Last night was my fifth night of stims. They are getting easier, and DH is becoming a pro at getting the air bubbles out. Those seem to be the stinging/burning culprit. Last night it did burn, but I didn't even have to say the usual "are you almost done-are you almost done-are you almost done" like I do when it really burns. I didn't even say ouch so this is big progress for me and for what they feel like.
I had my second u/s today and bloodwork. The nurse hasn't called back yet BUT I am a little nervous about the u/s. I could tell my left ovary was more active because I had slight pains on that side on and off all weekend. Sure enough, she found five above 8mm and then fourteen at 7.5 or less. She said that those can be a problem, it will cause the pain, and possibly lead to OHSS so they will watch them very carefully. On my right side, there were three at 8mm or more and then nine at 7.5mm or less. It is nerve wracking, plus the idea of them increasing the meds makes me uneasy since I'm slightly uncomfortable on that left side AND my pants don't fit! I can only describe it as the way my stomach sticks out after a huge holiday meal with my family... it won't go away. But I know that's part of this.
So I wait (im)patiently to see what the next step is and when I return for another look at my growing follicles. It only takes one good one to make a baby! God is great!

I\'m glad the stims are getting a little bit easier! I\'ll be curious to see what they do with your meds, considering your ovaries seem to definitely be responding quickly.
So sorry to hear about your cat, esp with so little warning. But maybe, if this cycle works for you, your cat will be a guardian angel-cat for the baby (if this is too irreverent an idea for you, forgive me!)
It\'s a fantastic thought, and it works for me. Out of the two at my mom\'s, Liz was the really affectionate, pet me all the time cat, that would have loved a new baby around. She would have been the one curled up in the crib with the kid. Alex, the remaining cat, is too aloof and cat-like to actually like a baby. :)
I\'ll let you know what happens with the meds! I\'m curious too! And man does that left one hurt! At least I know why...
