U READY TO DO THIS?

You may have read my prior posts and hopefully, learned something from them that were of help.
Well, God's been dealing with me for the past 3 days and I've been praying.  Not saying I liked what He pointed out, but can't say He's wrong either.  I just didn't know. However, now that He has pointed it out, I am responsible to act upon what He has shown me so that I may be found obedient and in position for growth and blessings.
God showed me something through my Christian Counseling courses that I would have never known about.  Oh, I suspected, but didn't honestly know until I read the materials to help others.  Reminds me of the saying, "Physician, heal thyself." How can I help others if I don't become fully honest with me?
Now, this is new territory.  This is God telling me I need to change, that He has something better for me but I can't have the better unless I am willing to let go of what I am holding to so tightly.  Why am I holding tightly to what God says is not best?  Because it is COMFORTABLE for me and to change is NOT COMFORTABLE. However, no one ever gains the prize Paul speaks of unless we throw off all our hindrances that slow us in our race. (I Corn 9:24-25)
THESE ARE THE VERSES TO KEEP IN MIND:
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed  to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.
John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Where God is taking me will not be easy or comfortable, but it will be a journey I choose to make, choose to pay the price, choose to rid myself of my "comfort", taking up my cross daily to follow Him.
So, read along, or if you choose and feel led, follow after serious prayer & examination.  What I learn will be posted soon.
I want the ABUNDANT LIFE!  It's been paid for by the blood of Jesus and He wants me to have it.  I will not be denied my rightful inheritance.

I hear you! One of my revelations was that I lied to myself and I believed those lies.I didn\'t even realize I was doing it at the time. It was difficult to face my truths but it is so healing. God is good and He goes with us every step of the way even when we don\'t realize it.
I look forward to your insight and growth and I appreciate your sharing here. Pray for me as we have all the emotional ups and downs this week as we get ready for my youngest wedding.
