Turning a poem into a song
Aloha! Happy hump day!
I wrote a poem back in Feb called "Your Steadfast Love" and entered it into the National Veterans Creative Arts Competition. Won 3rd place in its category for the State of Hawaii. If any of you want to look back in my journal entry you may remember me talking about it, at least I think I did. Anyway, so this friend of mine in our music group at the VA came up with the idea the other day to turn it into a song!
So I went over his house today and we worked on that for a couple of hours. It sounds pretty good! I'm pretty excited! We had to edit out a few words to make it fit into the melody better. I was thinking of running it by the worship leader at church to get his opinion. But 1st I have to practice it to the point I know how to sing it so I can show him. lol. If you want to know how the poem goes let me know and I'll post it in the comments. :)
I've been going to the same hairstylist for about 8 yrs maybe longer, same guy that does the red, white and blue for me. Well he called us a couple days ago sounded horrible, we didn't even recognize him, and said his MIL died. And the sad part is it's the anniversary of his own mother's death which was a yr ago. He told us the family has been arguing over whether or not to take her off life support till everyone gets in from out of town. Jeff and I prayed for him. Losing a family member can be so hard, let alone 2 in a row.

YES I WOULD LOVE TO READ THE POEM, I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS BUT AFTER ALL SO DID OUR \'LORD\'\' AND HE GIVES US GRACE TO OVERCOME, SO SORRY ABOUT THE HAIRSTYLIST, ITS HARD TO LET SOMEONE GO, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE IN HOSPITAL, HOPE HE FINDS COMFORT ,YOU ARE KIND TO BE THERE FOR HIM SOMEONE TO TALK IS PRECIOUS THESE DAYS.
