Turned a bad morning into a great day!

Stupid smoke alarm batteries died so they started screaming and woke me up a lot earlier than  I wanted and by the time I disconnected all of them I couldn't fall back asleep.  Since I couldn't sleep I decided to get outdoors.  I knew it'd be freezing but I dressed for the occasion with warm clothes, and my new ski hat, gloves, and waders.  Spent the day hiking through snow, crossing the river, and taking beautiful winter photographs!

Ahh I\'m so jealous! Here in Ohio and we still haven\'t gotten a good snow...

Here in Utah we desperately need it cause we\'ve been in a drought! But yeah, this year I\'m trying to learn to enjoy the winter. In the past I\'ve hated it because unless you ski or snowboard(which I don\'t) then it\'s pretty much cold, you get sick, and then of course there\'s the inversion. While the financial part and time commitment parts don\'t make skiing or snowboarding an option, I think there\'s a lot of ways I can still have fun. I want this winter to be a fun one instead of another depressing one!
