Tuff night Tuff day
Hi All, Feeling a little down today, Yesterday was my youngest daughters 21st birthday. She has been my reason for all that I am and have done and put up with. Makes me sad, but very glad she has grownup to be the person she is. Me and the wife took her out for B-day supper and all and a waive of, well of emotion has overcome me. Since I have started the attitude of “not trying to be anything more than friends” the wife is all” life is grand”. She is off with her girlfriend, working-out, going to the movie, eating out, studying. All this is good, and I am happy that she is happy, but I feel used. I don’t feel any companionship in our relationship anymore, and very lonely. I cant “fake-it” and try to pretend that everything is ok to me. Just feeling old today. Just a rant I guess.

sorry that u feel down and lonely.....This means that u are giving up? Wishing u the best
Wish it were going better for you. Does she want a divorce or is she content to live like friends? I really don\'t have any advice, just go to your therapy and take care of yourself. I think ya will be at a crossroads soon. It\'s just the not knowing, that\'s the killer. I hated living in Limbo. Like like to kill my spirit and heart. All the best!!

Thank You Both for the words to ponder and the thoughts of strength. Between home and work I am just drained. I\'m still managing to get up and do a little exercise every day, but that is getting harder to do to. Just that time of the year. She is content, has her life and my paycheck, I have a good friend with some history, good and Bad. Ya\'ll to hang in there and keep up with your own battles, I\'m here for you!
i know what it is like to be lonely while married... i agree with okiesusie... you will arrive at a crossroad soon ... so good to know you are in counselling for yourself... it\'s amazing how things become more clear when we stop and take a good look at what is going on in a given situation. may you find clarity in your situation... and the wisdom to know what you can do about it. blessings.
p.s. thank you so much for your words of encouragement when i was so down last sunday/monday. how we need our supportive friends!
