Tude-day
Yeah, I know it's Friday but I've been having a atti-tude which for me means solitude. I want to be by myself. I don't want to talk to people. I don't want to answer the phone, text, or email people. I don't feel like doing much of anything. I'm not sulking. I just need to be alone. After 3 days of a monster headache I just need that.
I actually started feeling a little better yesterday afternoon. I still had the headache but it was somewhat bearable which was nice after spending the previous day with my head buried in my pillow like an ostrich. I had often been told that exercising helps headaches but I always laughed at that because my headaches are way too much to do anything. Anyway, I decided to go for a walk to see if it would somehow help it go away completely. I took my beagle with me. She's old so I'm thankful she doesn't want to run crazy like a younger dog. I just took it slow and we stopped often to pee on stuff.... well not me. I ended up walking a circle around 3 blocks - well I guess that would be a rectangle wouldn't it.
After I got home I laid down for a little while to rest but couldn't stay for long. I went out to work in my garden. I pulled weeds and in doing so found a little surprise. These little violets were found in one corner and I don't think I've ever planted them there. My front gardens are perennial gardens. They all contain flowers that come back every year and I don't do much of anything but weed - and I've done very little of that the last few years. I used to plant annuals around the perennials but the past few years I haven't even done that. These little violets are in one of the places were I would plant annuals. I wonder where they came from There are just a few. They look like pansy's but miniature. There were a few I found up in between other plants where the wouldn't get any sunshine so I used my hand trowel and scooped them up and moved them closer to the others. They add a nice blue-ish - purple splash of color that I'm not used to. I usually have pinks and white. I have bleeding hearts, lilies (which are not blooming now), wild iris (also not blooming yet), delphiniums (not blooming) and I have a bunch of white snow anemone which is blooming and spreading like crazy. I was kinda sad when I went to my front garden which boarders the fence along the road. I have peonies in deep purple-red and pink by that fence and as I was pulling out the weeds and tall grass that were invading my garden I found a hole..... a fresh shovel hole where someone removed one of my peonies. It is right next to the road but on the inside of my split rail fence. How sad that someone would do that. I hope they are reminded of how they got it every time it blooms.
Well back to today, tude-day, I woke up really sore all over but especially in my shoulders. I'm sure it was from walking and weeding and that is okay since I need to get stronger. I tried to stay up but I ended up laying down with my heating pad on my shoulders. I took a long nap and then I've been reading and I started a friendship bracelet. I have no idea why I suddenly wanted to make one of those. I haven't made one since I was in grade school. I thought I'd make one for a little girl that recently crashed on her bike and jammed her front teeth into her gums. They had to pull them and her little face and lip is all swollen. I think I'll make this for her. It may turn into something else but I'm waiting to see how it evolves.
I finished reading Numbers in the Bible and no I'm going to start Deuteronomy. I really like starting from the beginning and reading through because it makes so much more sense that way! I've learned a lot that I didn't know and I've asked a lot of questions that no one knew the answers too. I'm good at that.
I did exercise today but forgot to look at how far I went. I just made it 15 minutes and stopped because that is what the doctor said to work for. Oh well.... I'll just put the same as last time. I did lose a couple pounds but I gained them after entering my starting weight. So I'm just back to where I started and ready to go further down.
Thanks to everyone for the prayers. I really needed them and was saying my own.
