Trying Too Hard
These days I have had more time to think and take a hard look at myself. I have known I am a people pleaser. This comes from years of not being (or rather feeling) good enough and taught it is the woman's job to do for others. What can I say. I am an obedient little student . Always was.
I also have this incredible need to be accepted, understood. A friend did point out again recently-- I can't be everything to everyone. And yes, he is right--- but I did seem to go down trying. I realize with my insatiable curiosity, I want to hear and learn everything about someone I do care about. And for me, I seem to care too easily and too much at times. Anyhow--- I have caught myself opening up and sharing perhaps too much personal information with a friend or two. I find myself feeling a special bond with them and wanted them to understand who I am--- explain so they knew what type of person I was.
Okay, I understand I need to hold back my enthusiasm and urges to share far more than anyone cares or needs to know. Guess it does not bode well as one may misunderstand and think I am making a move. (Maybe in my mind I was?) Ok I am thinking too much here. In the future, I will try to hold back and not share so much. Those who I have chatted and shared with DO know what type of person I am anyway, (for better or worse... haha)

Sexy! LoL
You have to take care of yourself, before you take care of another.
Hope you feel better Kim.
There’s a difference between sharing your thoughts and giving all your time and energy away to others, especially when they have no way to give back. We know that what you write comes from the heart and so I have never felt it was over sharing. Definitely take care of yourself first. It’s not selfish to pull back to recharge because the energy you build for yourself will positively effect others too.
Just be who you are.!........Others will either accept you or they won't....
Stay in the present moment......You have to focus!
God Bless
I know what you mean Kim. sometimes i over share, this is usually to the most inappropriate person and usually as a result of me bottling everything up and then blurting it out, Then i have self hate and embarrassment at what i have done.
You are a lovely person Kim and you don't have to justify yourself to anyone. Don't be hard on yourself, you are human and a wonderful one at that. I so wish that one day you find the peace and happiness that you deserve.
Thank you all. All I have to say does come from the heart and yes there were moments when I chattered endlessly ( then rethinking and being a bit embarassed for blurting it all out) In the end, others will accept me (or not) I am done worrying, justifying and explaining. Anyone who does know me, knows if they have a question, all they need do is ask.
