Trying to stay positive
I keep reminding myself how lucky I am. I have a comfortable home, good friends, a loving husband and family.
Having said that, I am having trouble keeping it together. Too much time to think and feel sorry for me. It is May - mothers day - another one without Lisa. I am thankful for Andrew, Cevyn and the twins but I miss Lisa so much.
Cevyn and the girls were booked to come to visit on the 18th. Obviously that isn't happening and Heaven knows when it will happen. I want to cry - a lot! I need to restrict it to the shower because I can see the pain in Joe's eyes when he sees me in tears. Like a lot of men, he wants to make it okay and he can't. He is down as well. He is the best great grandpa and loves those girls more than anything.
I know I am not alone and feel sad for my sisters of the heart. This is a crap time for us all, and Covid-19 is adding insult to injury. Wishing you as wonderful a Moms' day as possible.
Lisa: I know you are with me. I hear you each time I go outside, or sit on the balcony. But I miss the phone calls, the jokes, the hugs, the "I love you Mummy" etc. I miss you always and love you forever, Mummy

I suppose it is all we can do to count our blessings. It is such a small thing in the entire scope, but I am still having bouts of overwhelming disappointment over our Alaskan cruise, which was months in the planning. We would have been flying to Seattle a week from today. I so understand, as so many grandparents, about missing the little ones. I told my son yesterday that my Ellie might forget me LOL. He said "Oh no, she won't". He said that every time she is mad at her Mom and Dad, she says she wants Memaw! I take comfort, if you can call it that, in knowing that we are all in this together and understand together. Loving hugs to you.
Aww babe I’m right there with you...missing Lisa, missing Matthew...missing my grandkids...wishing you heaven sent kisses upon your face and sunshine upon your shoulders...remember as hard as it is to do, it’s just another day...we miss them so much everyday...and yes I want out too....lol...California is opening up slightly so I’m hoping to see my mom and the kids after 7 weeks....love you...sorry about the visits I know all,of you are disappointed...hugs...
Yes, we're all blesses in so many ways, but dang it, it still hurts our hearts to not feel 100% complete on this side of life. Mother's Day is a big one for tears in the shower for me as well. (((hugs)))
I'm not a grandmother, but I can certainly imagine the sadness you all must feel not being able to be with those special little people you love so very much. I'm so sorry.
We also had a trip planned....and planned to see you....DAMN this virus!!! One day we'll make it, and I hope it's sooner rather than later. I hope Cevyn and the girls get to come soon too. Once it's safe for everyone, I think there will be a LOT of planes in the air and ships on the ocean too Binky.
I wish each of us a day filled with LOVE and JOY even as we miss our kiddo's so terribly and are forced to be separated from those we love. (((hugs)))
The missing, the yearning--so difficult. Tight hugs xo
