The turnout for our presentation ~ despite the fact that we advertised even more aggressively - with signs posted all over town, posters, and newspaper articles ~ it was the lowest turnout we ever had! In fact ~ less than half. 25 people and not all of them parents. And what is even more disappointing is the fact that we had opened the program up to two the two lower grades as well - a total of 800 students from one school and about 120 from the Catholic school we include. Mind you, it didn't help that the middle and high school had a volley ball Race For The Cure event in the same building that filled up the parking lot - but still. Both administrators from both the middle and high school knew about our program but forgot to mention or didn't realize that there was going to be a conflict for some.
So I sent out an evaluation to our panel. Feeling defeated despite the great responses we received from the few parents who were there.

Sorry to hear about the low turnout. I know you put a lot of work into this. The good news is that 25 people showed up. If you provided information that helps to prevent even one kid from becoming addicted, it was worth it.
I wonder how many folks actually started out to attend your event and got diverted by a sports event instead......
Well, I\'m sorry it didn\'t turn out well, regardless of why. But it did sound like you got little help from administrators, also.
