Trying To Move Forward Again

Losing the house we thought would be our next home yesterday was a hard blow for Jeff and I to absorb, however... it's time to move on. Our agent already has us under contract for another house only a few miles away from the first one. Dare I say it... but I like this new one even better, and it's a little cheaper, too!

Of course, being under contract is a far cry from closing a sale, but it's a step forward. I definitely have a good feeling about this one and have given it a tentative name already (I've named all my houses). Time will tell all, I suppose. Hopefully, we can get the appraisal and inspection to happen ASAP for a quick close.

The hardest part about being displaced and having no home of your own is not being able to pick up the pieces of your life to start a rebuild... if you don't know for sure where you are going to be living or when you will arrive there, you can't begin building a community, a support system, or even restart the job search. *sigh* One day at a time, and trying to move forward again...

The problem with the first house may be a blessing in the end. You already have another house under contract. You know if this one falls thru you will find a house that is the right one for you. I've found that when one doors shuts another opens. You still have many doors to go thru to find the perfect house for your family.

Let's hope this one works out to be the right home for us. I'm ready to get on with my life.

We were lucky we never had that happen to us, but I've heard that it's fairly common for one reason or another.

Good luck, Patti

Yeah, we were told the same thing, that it's common. This is the first time it's ever happened to me though. Let's hope the second try of this thing is smooth sailing. (((HUGS)))
