Trying to get stable
I had my first full day back on my Prozac and I can tell the difference. Geo and I are getting along better and I just hope he doesn't get mad playing his game, since I'm sitting right next to him and I might freak out. I wish he would take anger management classes, but he doesn't think he has a problem. Can you believe when he said he raises his voice (but isn't angry) because he is Puerto Rican? I mean, his dad does the same thing but he is just loud. Geo is quiet normally. I have so many friends telling me that I need to leave him, that I am being abused but I want to talk to my therapist first since she knows me well and can give a logical answer with weighing pros and cons. I know I can trust her judgement. I have lost friends because of the way Geo treats me, that they don't want to see me go through that. I love him and I don't want to throw away a 10 and a half year relationship over yelling. I don't know. I just know I need to make a rational decision. I don't have anywhere to go. My stepdad filled my old room with his hoarder crap, I can't live with my mom (she drives me insane and her husband is constantly telling me to smoke pot), my brother has no space and my sister's husband doesn't want me living with them again. I have a place I can go for a month or so, but not a long time. I don't want to stay in Miami if I don't have to. I have no roots here, only a couple friends and I would prefer to move back to LA where my family is. I even know what apartment I want to live in if I can save enough money. I guess I do have some place to stay. Not the best area, but the apartments are clean and there is an elevator. I lived there in the early 2000's and liked it. I should check to see how much it is to live there.

Hi, Larissa! That is really great that you have a therapist that you feel comfortable talking to and you trust her judgement. I think that is a good idea to talk it all out with her and she can lead you in the right direction (for you). You have my support in whatever you decide to do....Hugs, P.T.
Ive always felt that way about your relationship but that is something you have to do on your own. The therapist can help you work through that I\'m sure. I also have a few friends in less than ideal relationships and they cant leave..financially its a struggle and they arent being physically abused so they think of it differently. Emotional abuse can be just as damaging if not more.
it\'s great that you have a therapist you trust. Definitely talk it over with her. .It maybe, he\'s just getting frustrated and loud,. Does he put you down and call you names ?/ that\'s something to think about before you talk to the therapist.
Good luck.
i didn\'t even know you are from LA. wow! did you go to college out there too. if i could be anywhere right now, it would be southern california except i can\'t live in dry climates, i can\'t breathe in dry and will get seizures from it.
best of luck, whatever you decide. they claim the worst abuse is verbal/mental. how about ear plugs? xxoo
