Trying to adjust...
Well, so far, today is the first day since starting treatment that I haven't spent most of the day in bed. That's not to say I don't feel like falling flat on my face, but I'm trying to do a mind over matter thingy. I sure can't spend the next 12 weeks in bed! Plus my son is on Spring break so I have to care for him, play taxi mom, etc... I do think I'm kind of losing it though... I started the crock pot today, and let it "cook" for two hours before I realized it wasn't plugged in, then poured an entire glass of water down my front because I had not put the lid on. Stupid, absent-minded things I don't normally do.
Over all, it's been the best morning so far. I do know that almost 2 hours after each 600 mg dose of Riba, I feel really awful. Nausea, dizzy, headache, ears ringing, etc. So that must be how long it takes to get into my bloodstream. The worst part lasts for about 1.5 to 2 hours than kind of fades off, then I get really, really tired. I sure hope this means it's working !! I know it's working as an appetite suppressant. I have lost 5 lbs in 4 days!! And virtually no exercise whatsoever. There is a silver lining besides kicking the virus ass. Heh.Only 80 days to go...

Hmm.. just read that Ribavirin reaches Cmax 2 hours after dosing. That coincides with the harshest effects I feel and the timing is spot on, so my guess was likely right. Must mean it is working for sure!

Thanks! I\'ve sure as hell felt better, but nothing worth having is ever easy, right? Gotta keep my sense of humor, or I\'ll lose my mind. Actually, I feel like I\'m losing bits and pieces of it, but I think that\'s the Riba messing with my head a little... :-)
I here ya Beachy with regard to the Riba. I am into week 9 on it with the Sovaldi and am doing okay. Just have them keep a close watch on your hemoglobin levels. I am only taking 800 mg of Riba per day now. The 1000 mg was a bit too much for me to handle and I achieved Undie status at 4 weeks so WTH. Still Undie at 8 week draw too !!!! You will be too - hang on - hugs ;)
Hi beachymom, I\'m on solvadi, riba (600 mg in the am and 400 mg in the pm)and interferon. Day 8. I have slept more than usual, but no other side effects so far. So hoping that is a good sign. I feel very blessed because I\'m 1a stage 0, and was able to get treatment. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I feel like the mind over matter is a huge part in how I feel and I know God is watching and providing for me. God Bless and hang in there.
