Trying this out...
Hi, all. I am gonna try this out today and just see what happens.
The saga continues....
My P-doc thinks that I might not be bipolar after all. What a kick in the head! I mean, this diagnosis has shaped my life since 2002. Now I am supposed to ditch it just like that/ I am sceptical, but he says that many of my symptoms are not typically those of a truly bipolar person. For instance, I hear strange things. One is a girl crying, another is a radio. That switches stations. No typical voices commanding me or anything. And he thinks it might be from (get this) brain lesions! Is this supposed to comfort me? Because it really doesn't!
On the other hand, I was on so many meds when I first saw him. It seemed like my past docs would just add and add and hardly ever take things away. So far, he has gotten me totally off lithium (yay!) without a crash, off a couple other things, and decreased most of my other meds. I am no longer a walking zombie struggling to feel something (anything) real.
I still take a bunch of meds, don't get me wrong, but we are working on that. I like that he listens to what I have to say. I also like that he looks at my file before my appointment. He stays on top of things.
My other big thing right now is trying to lose weight. I am all for Weight Watchers, since I have lost 30+ pounds since April. It is slow, but I am keeping the weight off. And that is a good thing. It took the impending threat of diabetes to shake me up. I am still somewhat sloth-like, and consider my computer chair my second home. But I am starting to want to do some sort of exercise. What, I am not sure, but it won't be Zumba!
Bye' y'all. Thanks for reading this. Give me some feedback, will ya?
