trying something new

So I've decided that I'm trying something new, a new routine. journaling everyday on here has been a goal of mine, although I lack consistancy, I've learned to be easier on myself so instead I'm learning to be proud because I've been more active on this platform then I was previously. I think the biggest challange is learning to be open and rely on people and learn to trust that this platform is a safe space for me. my PTSD holds me back from trusting anyone or anything but I don't want to let the constant paranoia win either. I want to truly be myself here and share everything. I want to use this platform as intended, it's really helped me a lot to know that there is a community of people willing to help me and hopefully I can help others as well. I want to say that I am truly greatful for anyone and everyone who has left a comment or sent a hug because it truly meant the world to me. the people on here are like a second family to me and if any of you guys on here are feeling down or alone, please don't hesitate to reach out to me on here :)

Now that I've gotten that out there, trying something new. As some of you may know already, I am a senior in high school which means like most students out there, school has been cancelled and online school has commenced. With the closure of school, I came to the realization that school gave me, structure, a routine, and helped keep me busy despite the fact that it also stressed me out. Due to the lack of school, my routine, as well as exercise, sleeping, and eating habits have been well out of whack. this impacts my mental health greatly, I had been feeling less motivated to do anything and feelings of intense depression were starting to emerge. Despite dealing with depression regularly, depressive episode are much worse as many of you well know the emotional toll that it takes on you. so I've decided to try a new routine and try to be disiplined with it. I highly suggest practicing self care during this turbluent time and have a routine to keep healthy in all aspects. I wake up at 5am (crazy, I know) as this was the time I woke up when I was attending school. I work out, take a shower and eat breakfast and dress in regular clothes because I find that helps with my own productivity as you mind accociates work clothes with work. from 7am -2:30 I have online school and homework that I complete as well as some other college chores. from after school around 3pm I each lunch, and then after I spend time socializing with family and friends and finally in the evening is when I take time for myself to meditate or journal and after that the rest of the day is mine for free time to relax, try out new hobbies and spend time with my family. I just thought I'd share these things with you as well as any helpful tips I have. I will let you know how the first day goes and hopefully I get into the habit of journaling daily because it helps me relax and just helps in general get all my thoughts out, I'm sorry if it bugs anyone because that isnt at all my intentions and if you read this all, thank you so much for reading my rambles and antics, I wish you all well :)

Best of luck Lorilei. I now work from home and I start early like you do to get done in the afternoon to spend time with my wife or to go for a walk for exercise. Good job at trying to Journal more here. This is a safe space and you can open up here without fear of reprisal or recrimination.
