trying something new
I have been struggling with a problem for a long time now. I have tried on my own to quit many times and felt such guilt and remorse it has made me feel physically ill. But in the end I always return to what repulsed me so and every time my resolve to quit has been a little less until it was less of a quit and more of a see how long I can hold out.
I am trying something new this time by getting outside support. This website and possibly seeing counseling. I tried to talk to someone about this once before but they where very dismissive of my problem and didn't help me at all. This time I will find someone who understands and is willing to help me.
I also want my faith to be a big part of this recovery. I have been praying with my wife many nights before we go to bed about general life happenings and it brings me great peace. I am asking God for strength and support to make this work.
Here is to recovery!

I feel as though we are in a very similar situation, I really hope this site helps us both. I\'ve added some notes in my Journal, including a few quotes from a book I read, which although it only helped and evidently didn\'t cure my problem, I could recommend trying to read a book or two to help understand and overcome the addiction.
