Trip to RI
I was sitting here Saturday morning debating on whether or not to make the planned trip to RI because of the catastrophic failure of my heating and plumbing systems, still not completely resolved, when I realized that I couldn't do anything until Monday, anyway, and decided to go anyway. I had to go by my uncle's house to get some things that my cousin had set aside for me, take my grandson shopping (as promissed), and visit the thrift shop where I can get more stock for my ebay store. All important details to take care of, really, so I decided at the last minute to go. I took care of all of it, including stopping off at my daughter's house on the way back to pick up the girl's boots, that she left behind during her last visit. I'm tired now, but have alot of stuff to sell I spoke with my other brother, the one that lives in RI, and mentioned that I have, once again, been diagnosed with "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder", and he said "From What?", which made me realize that he, just like my father, doesn't get that one person's "issue to deal with" is another person's "trauma". My father made me feel that my problems were just a lack of maturity, rather than a treatable illness, and my brother made me feel the same way. I'm going to discuss this with my counselor today, because I don't like this feeling. Just like with my plumbing/heating disaster, I don't like the thought that I might somehow be responsible for it. when the plumbers and the well guy both came to the conclusion that the damage to my systems was caused by the weather, and that the cascade failure should be considered one disaster (and the insurance adjuster agreed), I have to come to the conclusion that I was not responsible, but a victim. I wish more than anything that I could be less insecure - and think that alot of the failures in my life could be attributed not to fault on my part but to the insecurity, because many times "blame" falls on the one who is least convincing.

Hon sometimes it is best not to try to talk to family, I can not at all wish I could but untill you have endured what we have then you just don\'t understand how we feel. Please remember you are the victim and you are dealing with that the best way you can you are in counciling and you are healing. HUGS
