For some reason my journal will not go through all the way. My tribute to Sheba was this: I brought her home to my brother as a puppy, we bonded than. She always greeted me w/her border collie grin & whine which drove my Mom nuts. My Mom kept her after my brother moved away for 7 yrs of her life - we were good for each other. It was fitting and an honor I went with her for her last breathe yesterday, 14 yrs old w/enlarged heart etc. She licked me often while I waited for her last breathe, she knew I talked to her with love. WE WILL MISS YOU SHEBA
My heart goes out to you. If you love Sheba like I love my Chipper (whom I lost in 2007), then it is saying goodbye to a child. People who don\'t love pets like they are children don\'t get it. I am crying for you and Sheba, and for my Chipper just thinking about what you had to do. This is why I will never have another dog. I can\'t face losing another one because I have had enough heartbreak. Lots of BIG hugs, Patti
oh this is so sad, our pets are so special, they give us so much love and affection, I am so sorry you had to go thru this, it hurts so bad, ... tears come to my eyes, I know you know you did what you needed to do, and this is what should bringy you peace. I had to put my pet to sleep, I still think of my \"Buddy\" he was 18 years old. I am left with my huband\'s cat, abd she is 19, I wonder how I will handle the day she will have to leave me too. It\'s so difficult to say good-bye to a loyal furry friend. Their love is unconditional, and missed when it is gone. I\'m sad for your loss. Hugs, Amy
