TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS MAKE ONE STRONGER
My trials and tribulations...depend on how I perceive them (so I've seen). Sometimes they come unexpectedly, a horrible surprise that send me to hell again and again if I'm not perceiving things right. Sometimes the signs are there and I am too lax to come up from the floor. It is always more comfortable you see. Pop a pill and go to sleep.
Sadly, I must admit while reviewing my life's events, they always bring a new learning experience for me. I just have to live through it no matter how agonizing. They build up my character, help me see there's a better way, and open me up to accept a new way of living that's more beneficial. How nice to think of it that way (mockingly)!
And I must, otherwise I would be finding myself lost without direction. Screaming from inside how cruel the world is and how terrible things have always been for me. Blind to what's around me and blind to the inevitable truth that is. I refuse to see...because somehow feeling sorry for myself is way easier than standing up and fighting those shadows I sometimes so wrongly perceive.
So fight or flight is my dilemma...hmmm Isn't it everybody's?

I so relate to what you are saying. Couldn\'t have expressed how I am feeling lately any better. It\'s a constant battle. I do yoga, meditation, then as soon as it\'s over, reality creeps in again, that ugly monster. Why can\'t I just be at peace, I see so much beauty in the world.
Very beautifully said. I also tend to be an escapist. I think the ugly will go away if I ignore it. This is why I now need to have a lot of dental work done! I especially hate medical realities!
