Treatment
I got back from the doctor, and the pathology reports were in. He said there was a tumor in the right lower lymph node, but it had not gotten to the upper ones yet, which I didn't even know he had removed. So he recommended 4 to 6 weeks of radiation and a couple of spot radiations. I see the radiologist on Thursday. He said I will have to go every day, Monday through Friday until it's done.

Theresa I had 25 radiation treatments. Each treatment lasts only about 1 or 2 minutes the rest of the time they are positioning you, so it won\'t take long altogther. We were lucky that we didnt have to have chemotherapy at all! You must be so relieved! I went everyday too, Mon-Fri. The only problem was that I live in a smaller city of about 50,000 people so I had to drive 40 minutes each way everyday to the next bigger city to have my treatments, since ours doesnt have the radiotherapy machine. You are also lucky the pathology was back so quickly, mine took weeks! Well now you know, how do you feel?
So glad that this treatment plan will be over for you shortly. I suppose 6 weeks of radiation 5 times a week is going to feel long. I am so happy they did not prescribe chemo. Will you have to travel far for your treatments? How is your tummy feeling now? Are you more comfortable?
Theresa did you find out what grade your tumour was? Mine was 2B1 and Dodi\'s 3C2 I believe. How did your appointment go? I saw on The Today show this morning a town in Wisconsin called New London and they were changing their population town sign to read New Dublin for St. Patty\'s Day! They said the town was near Green Bay, is that near you?

I have not found out what grade my tumor was, or what stage the cancer was. The only figure the doctor gave me was something about 70% which my daughter thinks meant that it has a 70% chance of relapsing without the radiation. We are about two hours west of Green Bay, but that\'s where the Green Bay Packers are! Football is very big, and all Wisconsinites love the Packers since it is our state team. I have been there, and I have also been to New London. Great places to visit!
