Let's close down all but one gun shop in every state and make him travel hundreds of miles,
take time off work,
and stay overnight in a strange town to get a gun.
Make him walk through a gauntlet of people holding photos of loved ones who were shot to death, people who call him a murderer and beg him not to buy a gun.
It makes more sense to do this with young men and guns than with women and health care, right?

Wow! This is fantastic! Thanks so much for posting. It reminded me of something else I read a long time ago comparing how our elderly are treated in nursing homes versus how criminals are treated in prison. You guessed it--the criminals get more care and privileges!!
i have that one saved somewhere and YES you are right, prisoners are given more rights and better care than nursing homes. this country is a disaster.
I agree this county\'s a disaster.!!!. But It\'s not only young men who kill ppl, older men/women. Alot of killing is done by stolen guns too. There are parents who are more dangerous than their children with guns.
My guns are legal But If I wanted an untracable gun it would\'ve been as easy as buying a can of soda.
When I lived in Detroit If I wanted a stolen pistol I could\'ve got one as cheap as $20 - $50.00, with that happening in this world What do gun laws matter?
These stolen guns are a big problem with the pain innocent ppl suffer from.
Our media has been a big influence on gun violence, Movies made killing n blowing up things look cool,fun n exciting to small minds who go & mimic it.
There are many of us who use guns with the safety & respect of the danger the possess. Me as well as a large amount of others who\'s family\'s would\'ve starved without the ability to hunt wild game. Guns used for this purpose isn\'t the problem in our society.
The guns aren\'t the problem, the ppl using them is..Just like drunks/drug addicts & ignorant or mentaly unstable ppl drivers with cars is the problem with death by auto.
Please don\'t get me wrong I\'m severely disgusted by the killings that\'s gone on in this country by use of guns, But it\'s like any other tool on earth if not used properly it can be fatal
.My wife hates guns & is scared to death of them,She doesn\'t like me owning them, but she agrees with me, She said should we ban kitchen knives,cars,lighters/matches, b/c of the ppl who don\'t use them carefuly or for their intended use?

I\'ve had about 30 crazy guys all with guns ready within split seconds to plaster my friends car with bullets I was with while we were in it b/c we parked in front of their Momma\'s house. Another friend of mine pulled up in time to save our life. They were his neighbors.I\"M NOT exagerating & not a lie.
Just like you\'d see in the movies that was our life that night.
No we didn\'t call cops some of the ppl knew how to find where I lived.
I do agee every wanta be gun owner should see the effects of lives ruined. CURRENT gun laws ..Before purchasing a weapon.background checks are done, it takes about a week to before a pistol or assault rifle can be bought.
Mental evaluations Should be done ,I agree on that.
I was taught gun safety by an elder friend after I got my 1st hunting rifle.
When I wasn\'t hunting I was \'pinking\' basicaly shootin at cans on my 40 acre farm in a safe area.
Now I live in a town, my guns collect dust..But I\'d use them for protection if needed..
you want prison? go to a nursing home.
You want good health care & humane treatment? go to prison.
But....urban criminals NEVER go through legal channels to get a gun; lots of underage kids in big cities with guns---with such kids not afraid of cops, but maybe some unassuming woman with a pistol in her purse.
