Travelin' again

Last weekend I made the first trip up to my hubby's new apartment outside of Lexington KY.  It was a 4-hour drive but so good to spend the time with him.  This weekend he originally planned to come here but now he says he'd rather come down next weekend since he has a doc's appt. then.  So tomorrow after work I will be off again and running!  At least this time I have a map of Lexington in my car.  Last week I got lost in town on the way home.  The interstate doesn't go through the city or over or even all the way around it, so you have to know what surface streets will get you out to the Blue Ridge Parkway on the far west side of town from where I come in.  I wandered a bit, then finally gave up and stopped at CVS and bought a map.  I was having an adventure!  This time I will drive back on Sunday afternoon, whereas last week I drove on Monday and then worked 5 hours at the office.  Whew!
We are planning on buying a bed this weekend, we need a new guest bed anyway and he now has just an inflatable mattress on the floor.  Not ideal!  I also plan on spending time at the Goodwill store near the apartment, might find cool clothes, furniture, who knows?  And it won't take much cash.
Also got introduced to a great local beverage, Ale 8 1..."a late one".  It's sort of like ginger ale, and the diet one is great, not too carbonated so I can even drink it from the can if I let it sit a bit.  And no caffeine!  Yay!

So, I need to start keeping a half-packed suitcase for these trips, don't you think?  I fear I will be doing too much packing.  Love traveling, hate packing, and that's the truth.

Bye for now!

Hi new friend...cut out the carbonation! It can stretch your pouch and interfere with weight loss! Sheri

No worries, Sheri, it is flat by the time I get to it!
