Travel Question
I've got a question about my trip. I've haven't been able to talk to a person at American Airlines and they don't answer my question on the automation. Maybe you can help me. All of us have prescription drugs and over-the-counter supplements we take and must take with us when we travel. I bought a weekly pill container and plan to put all the pills I need for the week in it and put it in my carry-on bag. Sara told me tha I have to take the meds in their prescription bottles. That'd be a lot of bottles,,,maybe 10 or more. Do any of you know the rules for carrying meds? Please let me know.

look at the department of transportation in your state, they will have the regulations, i don\'t htink you have to take the pills in thier bottles as many of those are over the ounce limit they have of, i think it\'s 3oz, and taht woudl never do. i have traveled by plane only once in the last 2 years and didn\'t take my prescription bottles. no one cared. it also seems that the larger the airport the less they seem to care and the local ones in small areas are pickier, guess they have nothing else to do!!
My hubby travels all over canada and the u.s. and whereever he goes, they prefer to see his prescriptions in their bottles, but i\'m sure if you make a list of your meds and their doses, that would probably be all right for you. I suggested before that you could get a list from your Doctor to show them, that would probably clear up any questions. Cheers, Deb :0)
This is what I do. I put the pills in the daily container covering the week. And I get a list of the prescriptions from the Dr. with his signature. Works in the US, Mexico and Canada. That\'s as far as I have gone. See if you can get the AA airlines phone number at your airport. Stay cool. Sue
