Trails

This morning I got up and took a walk.  I was driving yesterday and noticed a park closeby and wandered if it took me down to the river.  I found a trail and began walking down it.  I wound up circling a pond but on my way out found the trail that goes by the river.  It was beginning to get hot so I came home.  Maybe when I get back from treehouse trip I will walk that trail and find a place for breakfast.  I am thankful for finding this little escape in the woods.  I have a feeling I will go there often.  Mentally, I am already in that treehouse.  I hope the week goes by in a blink.

Mentally, I am already groaning every time you post about anything but that treehouse. Adding my hopes to yours the week goes by in a blink. Over the internet, it looks like it might be worth the 17 hour commute to get me one of them roosts for a weekend. If it is on the internet, it must be so.

I hold inflated expectations as the number one travel hazard. When I arrive at a new place with too many expectations in my head, I often cheat myself of what is actually there because? ? ? I'm still trying to find good words for that phenom. Because expectations are pre-meditated resentments? Because reality is never a direct match for daydreams? Fact is always stranger than fiction?

Dunno. . . Repeat, I am still trying to find good words for that ^it^, but I carry ^it^ in my travel pack.
