While dropping a bit short in her quest for the title, the knowledge was an immensely good one for Jordan, the only woman from the Brazos FFA to enter the competition. Fed up with being the 'go-fer woman' for Tyler as he labored on his tractors, Jordan chose to conquer her very own recovery, a John Deere 420.

Jordan, in her first year showing trucks, originally drew inspiration from an unlikely place-the music-video for 'Save yourself a Horse, Ride a Cowboy,' by country team Big and Rich. The music-video showcases Gretchen Wilson operating a 'sweet' tractor and Jordan decided she desired to recover one like this.

Working side by side with her brother and her father, Jordan's understanding of tractors increased greatly within the course of the project. She did just as much of the work by herself that she could and then used the guys for explanations and hands-on demonstrations when necessary.

'I suggest the Chevron Delo Tractor Restoration Competition to others,' Jordan said. 'It can be an incredible learning experience that helped me develop skills for life. Plus, I have had the ability to work along side my buddy, meet new people and make great new friends.'
