Tracking pain vs activity day 2

Activity yesterday - lol let me start a list...
1) walked dogs four times (just have to go outside with them as there are not enough fences to keep them on the property - I stand on the deck while they play/go potty)
2) took nap after breakfast...
3) as soon as I got up hubby drove me straight out to the boarding stable!!!
over the next five hours I
* got both horses from the field
* got mine sort of brushed, but had to sit three times and rest
* watched a 12 year old groom my daughter's horse
* got my daughter's horse saddled - and rested in a chair
* supervised 12 year old saddle my horse
* showed 12 year old how to mount my big guy using the ladder (it stands on its own) and how to ride him
* mounted filly and 'had a conversation' about how she was going to just stop and let me get the stirrups
* rode in the arena at a walk/trot for about 45 minutes - did have to put my iced coffee down at one point as the filly was acting up. You know the horse I am riding is in trouble when I put my coffee down!
* then we rode to the end of the road and back - about an hour and I got to just UNWIND all the stress of the last few weeks, and my gelding did not kill the 12 year old!!!
* back at the stable others had shown up and they fully groomed both horses for me :) I just got to sit in a chair and love on my horse. They even put away all my tack. I think I sat there loving on my horse and just talking horses for a good two hours.
* I had help putting them in their stalls and tossing them each some hay - I also traded some tack with one of the other boarders. I got a kewl gel pad which would have stopped the filly's bad behavior as it was because the saddle pinched her, and the lady got the cart I have been trying to sell for more than a year.
4) hubby drove from the parking area to the barn so I would not have to walk - I could lift one foot all the way past the other so it would have taken me 30 minutes to cover the 20 yards. I love heated seats as it puts heat right on my spine!!!
5) between getting home at 5pm and going to bed at 8:30pm, I took a shower

Pain...  It was actually very little yesterday. I was more tired at every step then in too much pain. Even with all the movement at the horses, I got through the day only taking two extra Hydrocodones. So I took 40mg yesterday instead of the 30mg I am supposed to take. Base pain level was about 6 with only occasional spikes to 8. The joy of being out on horseback overwhelmed all the stress and pain and just threw it out.
If I get enough energy today, I am going to put up one or two panels on the horse paddock. I have two weeks to get a paddock ready before the horses come home for the summer.
Check mark - ponies ridden
Check mark - cart sold
Check mark - hubby broke it to the stable manager that we are moving the horses out for the summer and she is still happy to hear I want to haul out to places with her and ride still.

I Love horses! But this area isn\'t zoned for them :(Really happy you got to enjoy your time with them) And I\'m sure you know how lucky you are to have such a patient and caring husband too
