Toxic...
Another day... another AHA moment. Finally in with a dermatologist. As I thought, it is a nasty case of psoriasis. I come to find out it is exacerbated by cigarette smoke. (as was the problem I had some time back with respiratory issues) Got some cream to put on for now and hopefully insurance will cover cost for new med (Shots which could aso have a side effect with respiratory stuff too) Last check with family DR.did also lead me todiscover my AIC is up a smidge too. (Primarily due to the fact I have been shopping primarily to suit him with all the quick crap as opposed to all healthy like we BOTH need. I also haven't been exercising like I should... which would also help. I keep saying I am gonna do what i need to for myself... but I am always the last on the list.
The AHA I take away from today is that this is just another reminder that i need to get far away to where I am not exposed to things i literally hate (cigarette smoke) At one time, we did work together (OK, maybe he just agreed and followed at the time, but it benefitted us both)... went to gym, ate healthier (he did still smoke, but not like now) He has way more health issues than me now (including COPD and diabetes... both of which are prime examples to quit smoking, and he has for sometime, but choses now not to try) For a long time now, I have been struggling and wrestling with issues all on my own. A "spouse" should not make our lives worse, harder or more complicated. It is long overdue I do kick his proverbial ass to the curb.

also...Today was my dad's birthday (so thinking of and remembering him) And I was once again reminded I am too easily fooled by another who was simply another player. So was a bit of a rough day. :(
I’m so sorry to hear you are going through this. You do what you have to for YOURSELF! Cook and eat healthier and he can either eat what you cook or cook for himself. Take time to be with yourself and get your workouts in. Again, once he sees you living your best life he will either jump on the wagon or be run over. Once I started putting self care at the top of my priorities, the rest of my family found motivation and we are all better for it.
You are getting it wrong , you don't judge so u won't be judged ,
Sounds like you should kick his literal but to the curb so he can realize he’s got to start moving his body all by himself. I can’t imagine living with a smoker who lights up inside where it affects the non smoking spouse. That’s more than a reminder. It’s him giving you (and your health) the finger everytime. NO !!!!! He should practice getting his ass outside to smoke and just poison himself I don’t want to upset you but how old was Kozmo?
He does only smoke in our master bath. I took pity on him when we first moved in because of much whining when bad weather (no covered porch or deck) Sadly, now on bright sunny days he still parks his ass in there forever. Listens to talk radio, reads, smokes and hangs out ... leaving a haze. I rarely go in there... except for a very quick shower.
Kozmo had just turned 9 the end of July... passed the beginning of September. The neighbor was outside walking their new little puppy the other day. i said hi and he took that as an invite to make his introduction. he was just born this past July... a very cute fuzzy little mop (his very excited tail almost as long as he is, whipping back and forth as I petted him) His name is George. Would love another pet, but not practical since I have no clue what my future holds or where I will end up. So I will just have to visit all the neighbors pooches. :(
I'm so sorry you've been having a rough time. I'm a new friend, so I don't know much of your story. Have you talked with him about how the smoking makes you physically sick? If he's not willing to make changes...either stop smoking or smoke outside...then that demonstrates he doesn't place you very high on his priority list. I wouldn't blame you for moving on. I agree w/Jubal that you should consider changing your diet to a healthy one, and he can either eat the healthier food or purchase/cook his own.
Also very sorry about the loss of your dad and Kozmo. Hope you can have another pet someday. Hugs.
