Tough Time
I've gone through some tough time since yesterday morning. The house is so empty without her. Her leash hangs on a nail on the wall next to the door and is left on the gate when she's in the back yard. I left the leash in the car when I got home so every once and a while I'd look at the door,,see the leash wasn't there and start to get up to bring her back in,,then realize she's not out there. I washed her food and water dishes. They'll go in a bag in a closet. Her pink blankie is in the trash. It was hers and won't be used again. I gave her special weekend treats to the dogs next door. They were her friends. Went to the grocery this morning and broke down when I brought the groceries to car and she wasn't there wagging her tail, wanting me to tell her which bags had stuff for her. Made pizza and there are two extra pieces that would have been hers in two meals. I felt a "bump" on the recliner as I was watching a football game this afternoon. She used to do that sometimes and I jumped thinking all this had been a bad dream and she was till with me. I know the pain will be with me for a while. I'm not looking forward to it. Foxy, I love you. Foxy, I miss you.

The two of you were bonded family. This is something we never totally get over but over time the sadness blends in with all the wonderful loved shared and it becomes one. Knowing she is not suffering is the only comfort as you did the best by her.
Gentle ((hugs)) shared precious Mike.

Yes, the memories will last a lifetime. I wish you some peace with what you are going through. You will see reminders, and go through different stages, and when a person is alone, and has a pet, it is so very hard to lose that baby. My thoughts are with you, and again, I know words won\'t be much help, but a weakness of mine is animals, and I hate to see anybody lose their baby
