tough day

this morning I went out to ride my Harley to coffee.  the battery was dead.  My nephew came over and borrowed my truck to go get his motorcycle at a shop 18 miles away.  I came home from coffee shop, got ready to paint my waterfall before I put it in the yard.  I got a phone call from a lady in my church.  She wanted me to come to the courthouse in support of her brother who was on trial for child molestation.  She said to bring everyone I could because the Public Defender said we needed to make a good showing in from of the jury the last day before deliberations begin.  I made several phone calls but, no-one was home so, I called her back, left a voice mail and told her I would be coming by myself but, I would have to change clothes because I was getting ready to paint. I changed clothes, started over to the courthouse 18 miles away and my phone rang again.  It was my sister tellingme that my nephew had broken down with my truck and he was stranded at a tire shop.  I called the lady back, told her I had to go get my nephew that was stranded and may not make it to the courthouse. I found my nephew and asked him what happened.  He said he didn't know.  There was antifreeze all under the truck.  I checked the hoses and they looked ok.  I then went to wal-mart, got antifreeze, filled it up and started it.  I told him to follow me and we would go get his motorcycle.  I got about 200 ft and the truck would not move.  I pushed it across the street into a service station and I opened the hood.  There was transmission fluid running out all over the ground and antifreeze every where so, I just closed the hood, brought my nephew home and called a friend of mine who runs a garage, to come get my truck.  I never did make it to the court house and now this lady will probably be upset with me.  What a day.

she shouldnt be upset with you because things happen. in my opinion she shouldnt have waited to the last minute to ask for you to be there. sorry about the truck, hopefully it something simple that can be fixed easitly. just seems like today wasnt your day, tomorrow should be better. dont let the events of today bring you down....hand them over to the lord.

One of those days you want to scream!!!! However it is now evening and I guess you are back home
I hope your truck wont need too much work
Re your friend. The lawyer should have had his ducks in a row long before today. He was negligent and sounds like he didnt give his client much attention.
The lady from your church should be fine I would think once you have had a talk with her.
Nothing that happened today was your fault. Happenstance, be good to you

I think those days make us appreciate the good ones even more. I hope all is well with the truck. When it rains, it pours...but tomorrow is another day!

Sounds like you had a bad day. Sorry but you know that lady should understand. I am sorry I don\'t feel much for people like the guy going on trial. I need to work on that. I hope there is nothing major wrong with your truck. Let me now how it goes.

I am firmly of the belief that all things happen for a reason. Sometimes the reason becomes clear, sometimes it doesn\'t and we will have to wait until that time when our Maker decides to enlighten us. I don\'t know what will come of missing this event, but I know there is a purpose beyond what is to be seen right now. All I can say is live in the moment and be at peace if you can.
