Tough Day
Today is the 5th anniversary of my son's death in a car wreck. He was 37. I will never forget that phone call, I will never forget the visitation and the funeral. I will never forget, that the driver of the car, he was riding in, left my son laying beside the road, in a ditch, like a dead animal, in 105 degree heat for 10 hours, after walking home (supposedly) and going to bed. Do you know what happens to a body in 105 degree heat, in the country with animals around. Not a pretty sight. He then got up and called the Police and told them my son had stolen his vehicle during the night. It took me 2 years to get this man to court and he got a slap on the wrist. Probation, 45 evenings in jail and a fine. Every year for a week before and a week after his death, I am really nervous and bothered, Now, my son's mom is laying in ICU, dying of cancer. It's tough.
